Movie Review #Kick

Movie - Kick
Producer & Director - Sajid Nadiadwala
Star Cast - Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Music - Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Brothers, Yo Yo Honey Singh

There’s a saying, “All that glitters isn’t gold”.  Kick look like the glittering gold from far off (promos), but its only when you watch it, you realize it’s all fake. Salman Khan movie and Eid release is synonymous (hit movie streak started with Judwaa, followed by Wanted, Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger and now finally Kick). So, what’s in store for you?

The Good –
Salman Salman Salman (no. no, no, don’t get me wrong, but it’s a movie for this die-hard fans). Randeep Hooda didn’t have a bigger and impactful role, but does a decent job. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he’s the only real gem. Though has a short role, he does leave an impression.

The Bad –
Jacqueline Fernandez, yes she’s horrible. She doesn't look that good (not actress material) and can’t act (proved yet again). Songs, I’m really disappointed, there’s no good song that I would like to hum (or like to listen to again).

In the movie “Two States” there was a dialogue, Story mein hero ho ya na ho, story hero honi cahiye! Rightly said! (Story is missing here). Bullshit, written just for the sake of writing.

The Ugly –
Humor and running time, both are the ugliest parts of the movie along with its wafer thin storyline. Don’t wanna waste words and time to describe how horrible it is.

Verdict –
Well, if you’re a die-hard Salman Khan fan, watching Kick is a no brainer. Others completely skip it. There are better things to do. Spend some leisure time with your family, rather than taking this torture. But, if you’re still going, remember to keep your head outside the theatre or carry some Saridon, Disprin, etc, you might need them later.

And yes the ending dialogue perfectly suits the situation
“Dil mein aata hu, samajh mein nahi”

Rating – 1.5/5 (1 for Nawazzudin and ½ for Salman Khan’s horrible, yet funny dance moves)
